Meet the Team at Yaxley Dental Clinic

Dr Sarfaraaz Zahid Qualified in 2011 from the University of Liverpool. Since then Sarfaraaz has undergone extensive training in restorative dentistry in which he holds a post-graduate certificate (completed in 2016). He provides popular cosmetic treatments such as composite bonding, Invisalign (teeth straightening with clear aligners) as well as teeth whitening. Sarfaraaz has developed a keen interest in endodontic treatment, in 2018 he progressed to complete a three-year Master’s degree in Endodontics with a distinction from King’s College London. Being a dentist with a special interest in endodontics, he has a strong focus on endodontic treatments following referral from other dentists. Always striving to progress further, he has now successfully managed to secure place on the the Masters in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) program which will give him the full specialist status in endodontics.

His treatments are routinely performed using an endodontic microscope, and with the benefit of CBCT imaging when required (to assess treatment feasibility).

Sarfaraaz is happy to accept referrals for endodontic treatment / re-treatment, and will both correspond and return each patient to the referring dentist as requested.

Outside of work, Sarfaraaz is a fitness enthusiast- enjoying football, running and going to the gym regularly.

Dr. Bilal Hussain spent his first 5 years of studying Dentistry at the University of Liverpool where he qualified in 2011. Since then, Bilal has undergone extensive training in restorative dentistry in which he holds a post-graduate certificate (completed in 2016) as well as numerous other undertakings subsequently within this field.

Bilal has a keen eye for aesthetics and provides popular cosmetic treatments such as composite bonding, teeth straightening (with clear aligners), teeth whitening and a range of facial aesthetics treatments. He has developed a keen interest in implant treatment, and in 2019 embarked upon a three-year Master’s degree in Implantology. Having completed his clinical studies for this master’s degree, he is now writing a dissertation pertaining to Implantology. Being a dentist with a special interest in Implants, he has a strong focus on Implant treatments, and has completed a range of such treatments across several clinics, both following referrals from other dentists as well as from amongst his own patients, including as part of his role as a visiting Implantogist for other dentists. He strictly uses the globally recognised leading brand of implants and provides an array of services within the field.

Bilal served as clinical lead for emergency dentistry services via 111 during the pandemic, and whilst being trained in sedation delivery, prides himself on being able to keep even the most nervous of patients relaxed through clear and considerate communication and an empathetic approach.

Outside of work, stemming from his years of clinical photography documenting patient cases, Bilal has become a published professional photographer, working with the main Canon magazine internationally as a ‘Canon Pro’ and teaches photography across the globe, as well as displaying his work in a local gallery in Stamford.

He is a hiking and diving enthusiast, and a true nomad in his spare time, having travelled to all continents, including a recent sailing expedition to Antarctica. He loves learning new languages and meeting people of different cultures.

Tonia started as Dental Nurse on Lincoln Road in 1994, steadily progressing to roles such as Head Dental Nurse, Clinical Lead and Practice Manager.
With 20 years within this practice, she’s committed to enhancing patient and staff satisfaction.

Day-to-day, Tonia’s either in her office reviewing policies, enrolling patients onto our Denplan schemes, or assisting in dental procedures.
Beyond dentistry, she is a Harley street-trained practioner for Facial Aesthetics, focusing on the upper face.

With almost 30 years as a qualified Dental Nurse, Tonia brings a personal touch to her hands-on approach within the practice, making the dental experience more than routine – it’s a genuine human connection.
